The latter case is currently being settled, while the former was declined in favour of the Prosecutor’s Office with Bucharest District 3 Low Court, with the ruling of not starting a criminal prosecution passed on Nov. 5, 2008.
‘At present, the prosecutors with the Penal and Crime Section are assembling only one criminal case’, stressed the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice.
According to the release, four criminal cases were recorded at the DNA over 2002-2012, with only one still pending settlement, while the other four have been settled, the Prosecutor’s Office explained.
‘The Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism has six criminal cases registered in 2012, five of which are pending settlement, while one was ended by the Executive Order from Jan. 9, 2015’, the Prosecutor’s Office said in its answer.
