Lia Olguta Vasilescu: ‘I marked them <unsatisfactory> in evaluation, a score of 1’

Craiova Mayor Lia Olguta Vasilescu said after the events yesterday that the Craiova Taxes and Charges Department in Craiova under investigation for intellectual forgery, fraud, abuse of office and cyber-fraud had received an <unsatisfactory> score of 1, according to ziarulolteniei.ro. ‘The Fraud Investigation Service is investigating several employees of the Taxes and Charges Department of Craiova Municipality for intellectual forgery, fraud, abuse of office and cyber-fraud. More specifically, since 2007 these people have been erasing people’s fines from computers and cashed the money themselves. I have been aware of their practice ever since I became mayor. I made available to the investigators all the required documents. I marked those employees <unsatisfactory> in the evaluation, they received a score of 1, which means they are decayed from public office. They all won in court and came back to work, continuing to do the same things. Today they are questioned and they will probably be brought to trial. I just hope the court doesn’t send them back to me’, Mayor Lia Olguta Vasilescu said.
