Transgaz estimates natural gas demand of 15.5 million MWh in February

The total demand for natural gas in February is estimated by Transgaz at 15.49 million MWh, according to the proposal included in the report authored by Transgaz and sent to the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).

The demand on the regulated market is estimated at 7.074 million MWh, of which 2.006 million MWh for non-household clients and heating producers, and 5.068 million MWh for household consumers. At the same time, the demand on the eligible consumers’ market is forecast at 7.755 million MWh, while the technological consumption (to which the structure of the gas mix is not applied) is estimated at 660,170 MWh.

In what concerns the mix of natural gas for household consumers and the producers of heating, ANRE approved that it should consist 96.5 per cent of local production and 3.5 per cent of imports.
