Over 17,000 SRL-D companies (microenterprises belonging to debutant entrepreneurs) are currently active at national level. This means that their number grew by 6,000 companies year-on-year, Florin Jianu, President of the Young Romanian Entrepreneurs (PTIR), stated on Tuesday.
At the same time, he pointed out that he will continue to propose to the government instruments that would support the integration of young persons and the consolidation of the business environment.
“Starting off from the successful initiative I proposed 4 years ago, I will continue to propose to the government instruments that would support youth integration and the consolidation of the business environment. The authorities have to take into account the newly-set-up companies’ contribution in the IT sector, whose contribution to the GDP stood at 5.1 per cent in 2014, exactly the same level as that of the agriculture sector. Investments in agriculture however are of the order of billions, consequently the IT sector – where investments are much smaller – has a very large potential,” the PTIR President added.
PTIR organized on Tuesday a review of its activity in the “Growing-up” project. This project is part of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, a cross border exchange program supported by the European Commission.
