Gov’t target is VAT cut for all products starting with January 1 2016

Prime minister, Victor Ponta on Wednesday announced, in the debut of the Government weekly meeting that the Executive’s target on 2015 is that starting with January 1 2016, the Value Added Tax (VAT) be curtailed for all categories of products.
‘The year 2015 target is that, from January 1 2016, we reduce the VAT for all products. As we have had, in 2013 as objective to re-whole the pensions and salaries, and we did it, in 2014 we decided to slash the social contributions, and we did that, in 2015 all our efforts will be channelled to a good economic life capable to allow us a VAT cut from January 1 2016,’ the Prime minister said.
