Prime Minister Victor Ponta congratulated on Friday the Romanian members of the European Parliament nominated for the annual prize awarded by ‘The Parliament Magazine.’
Social Democrats Daciana Sarbu, Viorica Dancila, Victor Negrescu and Liberal Adina Valean were nominated respectively for the MEP Awards categories Health, Agriculture, Digital Agenda and Energy.’
‘The health, agriculture and digital agenda are among the key fields concerning Romania’s present and future. I am proud of the three members of the European Parliament from the Social Democrat Party who were nominated in the three categories by the reputable Parliament Magazine. Congratulations, Daciana (Ponta’s wife-photo) , Viorica Dancila and Victor Negrescu,’ the prime minister wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
He also called to unity among Romanian MEPs, and extended congratulations to Adina Valean of the National Liberal Party (opposition).
‘Congratulations also to Adina Valean for the nomination in the energy category, also a key domain. Irrespective of the political family, we Romanians should work together closely in Brussels, beyond the political battles in Bucharest. We should be dignified abroad, team together for the national interest; good luck to all Romanian MEPs,’ Ponta also posted.
