President Klaus Iohannis on Monday addressed a letter to the speakers of the two Chambers of Parliament announcing he would like to speak before Parliament on February 9, reads a press release of the Presidential Administration.
“As stipulated by the Article 88 of the Romanian Constitution, republished, I want to speak before the Parliament. I propose February 9, 2015, as the date for my addressing the joint session of the two Chambers of Parliament,” said the letter the head of state addressed to the Senate Speaker Calin Popescu-Tariceanu and Deputies Chamber Speaker, Valeriu Zgonea.
This would be the first message President Klaus Iohannis will address to Parliament since taking over as head of state, on December 22, 2014.
