Udrea summoned by DNA for questioning in Microsoft and Gala Bute cases

Elena Udrea has been summoned by prosecutors to the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) on Tuesday, after the Chamber of Deputies had green lighted the prosecution, detention and preventive arrest of the PMP MP in the Gala Bute and Microsoft cases where she is charged for corruption offences, according to judicial sources. Previously, Udrea stopped at Police Precinct No. 2 as part of her judicial control. ‘I’ll see you at 12:00, at DNA’, she said to the journalists.

Elena Udrea arrived to the DNA headquarters on Tuesday at 11:55. Shortly before that, her lawyer told the press that he had asked that his client be heard. According to Elena Udrea’s lawyer, the questioning by DNA today follows a request the defence made on Friday, 6 February.

As she was walking into the DNA building with a smile on her face, Udrea said the hearing request in the Microsoft case, made by her lawyer, had been accepted and therefore she presented herself.

On Tuesday, at noon, in front of the DNA building there were several protesters who booed at E. Udrea when she came, shouting to her ‘Thief!’,  and ‘To prison!’
