Anastacia to perform in Romania again, on June 29

American singer Anastacia returns to Romania to perform another concert at the Palace Hall in Bucharest, on June 29. The show is part of the artist’s world tour, “Resurrection Tour 2015”.

The singer’s fans will be provided a live performance that will include her internationally successful chartbreakers and also new songs from the artist’s latest recording.

Anastacia Lyn Newkirk was born on September 17, 1968, in Chicago. She is an american pop-soul performer with rock influences, well-known for her powerful voice. Her debut album “Not that kind” that included the single “I’m Outta Love”  was tremendously successful and broke into the top position in the charts of eight countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania.

The next two albums were also successful, consolidating her status as a world star. Her recordings reached total sales of over 30 million copies.

The artist is highly appreciated for her deep voice endowed though with an unusual ability to reach high notes, being labeled as a dramatic soprano by experts. Having sold over 30 million copies of her recordings and having launched smash hits such as “I’m Outta Love”, “Paid My Dues”, “Left Outside Alone” and “Pieces of a dream”, Anastacia became a symbol of pop music all over the world, the quoted press release shows.

Her album “Resurrection”, launched in May 2014, enjoyed the acclaim of critics and commercial success, reaching the 6th position in the top ten album’s chart in Italy and the fifth position in the top ten album’s chart in the United Kingdom. The top single of the album, “Stupid Little Things”, launched on April 4, 2014, reached the top spots of charts in Belgium and Italy, while critics granted her a series of positive reviews, declaring it an “outstanding comeback”, which also proves that Anastacia, a former cancer patient, is a genuine survivor.

Anastacia’s voice was declared “a miracle” by MTV ASIA, as it is specific for African-American people. Also, some of her fans consider that Anastacia is a “modern-day Janis Joplin”, while the publication The New York Times has described her as a “charismatic artist and a vocal phenomenon”.

The artist’s debut song, “I’m Outta Love”, combines music elements of the dance and funk genre. Her songs of the albums “Not That Kind” and “Freak of Nature” may be defined as pop tunes, but most compositions on these albums include influences of various genres. As a result of her experience as a breast cancer patient, Anastacia felt the need to reinvent herself and created the “sprock”, a mix of elements that define pop, rock and soul music. Her third, self-titled album, “Anastacia”, is dominated by that mix of genres, but also bears strong R&B influences.

The tickets for the show scheduled on June 29 will be issued on Wednesday, by Eventim, in the network of the stores Germanos, Orange, Vodafone, Domo, Carturesti, Humanitas, as well as online, on www.eventim.ro. Until March 10, tickets may be purchased at special prices, depending on category: VIP – RON 400, First Category – RON 350, Second Category – RON 300 and Third Category – RON 200.

Anastacia has performed before in Romania, in September 2009, at the Polyvalent Hall in Bucharest.
