ANCOM: Average phone user talks 208 minutes and uses 110 MB of traffic

The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has updated on veritel.ro – the application that allows comparisons between telecom offers – the consumption values that configure the profile of the occasional, average and intensive user of mobile phone and mobile internet services, on the basis of the most recent statistics processed by the Authority, statistics based on data for the first half of 2014.

According to ANCOM data, the average mobile phone and mobile internet user configured on veritel.ro uses 110 MB of mobile internet traffic each month, sends 71 national SMSs (of which 67 within its own network and 4 outside the network) and talks on average 208 minutes within the network (207 to mobile phones and 1 to landline phones) and 37 minutes outside the network (of which 30 to mobile phones and 7 to landline phones).

An occasional user of mobile phone and mobile internet services uses 37 MB of internet traffic each month, sends 23 national SMSs (of which 22 within its own network and 1 outside its own network) and talks on average 69 minutes within the network (all to mobile phones) and 12 minutes outside the network (10 to mobile phones and 2 to landline phones).

The intensive user of mobile phone and mobile internet services uses 330 MB of internet traffic monthly, sends 213 national SMSs (201 within its own network and 12 outside its network) and talks on average 623 minutes within the network (621 to mobile phones and 3 to landline phones) and 111 minutes outside the network (90 to mobile phones and 21 to landline phones).

At the same time, the consumption values for the occasional, average and intensive landline phone services user were also updated on veritel.ro. According to statistical data centralized by ANCOM, the average user of landline phone services talks 51 minutes each month within the network and 31 minutes outside the network.
