Nicusor Constantinescu: ‘I will most likely be detained’
Nicusor Constantinescu came to the headquarters of Constanta County Council, where he met with his lawyer. Afterwards, he said as he was leaving the County Council building that a warrant had been issued for him to be taken in for questioning. ‘This is the follow-up on my political harassment as President of the County Council, of Mayor Mazare and of our friend, Strutinski Sorin. I am accused of signing some agreements with the Soti television and with the Telegraf newspaper, things for which Mr. Mazare has been investigated, but the prosecutors with DNA Bucharest decided not to prosecute him a couple of years ago. This is my charge right now – abuse of power, conflict of interests and other thinks of this kind’, said the President of CJ Constanta.
Nicusor Constantinescu said he expected he would be detained.
‘Now they issued a warrant to take me in for questioning to DNA Constanta, where I will go and see what the charges are. I’ll see what’s going on. I will most likely be detained, I have my luggage with me, I’m ready, I have the diaper on I have my tooth brush. I will be detained and I’ll see you in Court, probably tomorrow’, N. Constantinescu added.
Nicusor Constantinescu was questioned at DNA Constanta and then he has detained.
