Founded in 2002, Schaeffler Romania, is one of the top production units of the Schaeffler Group. The company manufactures components for the automotive industry and for the heavy industry. The initial project for the plant consisted in three production halls and a development area of 55,000 sqm. Those expectations were exceeded by far and today, after 10 years of activity, the plant occupies a production area of 100,000 sqm and operates production in six halls.
In a world which is developing at a faster and faster rate and in which the half-life of forecast is becoming increasingly shorter, Schaeffler Romania has built a strong value system which always reflects the highest German quality standards and concern for the future. Education is one of the core values for Schaeffler Romania. At the same time, in 2012, Schaeffler Romania showed interest in the undergraduate educational system and decided to be the initiator of the first vocational school in dual system in Romania – the German Vocational School Kronstadt. Founded with the involvement of 11 worldwide-renowned companies, the vocational school offers pupils the opportunity to be trained for a technical vocation with the active support of the most important companies in Brasov. Young people have been learning in the most modern and efficient conditions, technical qualifications sought by companies. More than half of the first graduates of the school became Schaeffler Romania employees.
