The head of France’s Damage Recovery Agency will arrive in Romania in order to offer his support in the procedures on the setting up of a similar institution in Romania. The information was offered by Justice Minister Robert Cazanciuc, during a review at the Bucharest Court of Appeals. The minister talked about the issue of recovering the damages established through final rulings issued in criminal cases and stated that a memorandum has been sent to the government, in order to set up a specialized structure that would offer assistance to magistrates. The assistance would range from the process of freezing assets to the actual assessment of damages caused by the crimes. Cazanciuc pointed out that the end of March is the deadline for this structure becoming operational.
