Number of companies with foreign partial equity ownership reached 199,103

The number of companies with foreign partial equity ownership reached 199,103 units, by 0.2 per cent more than the number registered on December 31, 2014 (198,635 companies), according to the data released by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC).

The value of the subscribed share capital increased by 0.6 per cent in the national currency, to 147.590 billion lei (146.726 billion lei on December 31, 2014), while the advance in euro accounted for 0.5 per cent, to over 41.761 billion euros, and in dollars the increase represented 0.4 per cent, to approximately 55.785 billion dollars.

The ranking in terms of residence countries of the investors in companies with foreign partial equity ownership places the Netherlands first (31.8 billion lei and 4,621 companies), followed by Austria (18.239 billion lei and 6,876 companies), Germany (14.474 billion lei and 20,676 companies), Cyprus (14.464 billion lei and 5,608 companies) and France (9.587 billion lei and 8,028 companies).
