Romanian Post wants to set up branch in Poland

The shareholders of the Romanian Post National Company (CNPR) will discuss next week the setting up of a branch in Poland’s capital, of a foundation, and the transformation of the Postage Stamp Factory into a department.

“Approving the dissolving of the Postage Stamp Factory branch by transforming it into a department. (…) Approving the setting up of the Romanian Post Foundation, of its founding documents (founding act and statute), as well as empowering the Romanian Post to make the legal overtures needed to register the foundation. Approving the setting up in Poland of a Romanian Post branch, that will operate under the name “Romanian Post National Company Branch in Poland,” with the headquarters in Warsaw (Wojsja Polskiego 9, 01-524, Warsaw),” the order of the day of the extraordinary meeting of Romanian Post shareholders reads.

The Romanian Post National Company (CNPR) closed 2014 with an operational profit of RON 74.3 M, compared to losses of RON 35 M in 2013 and of RON 52 M in 2012, a communiqué issued by the Informational Society Ministry (MSI) shows.

MSI owns 75 per cent of CNPR’s registered capital, the rest of the shares being owned by the Property Fund.
