Traian Basescu said on Thursday that he felt embarrassed towards President Klaus Iohannis for the fact that the president in office cannot move to the Vila Lac 3 residence yet.
‘I have asked the Government to deal with the problem about the villa because I feel embarrassed towards Iohannis. I have also agreed to a transitory solution, but I could see that the option was rejected during the Cabinet meeting yesterday (Wednesday – editor’s note)’, said the ex-president.
‘Ponta is not just trifling with me, he’s also trifling with Iohannis’, Traian Basescu also said.
During its meeting on Wednesday, the Executive rejected the proposal of the Government Secretariat General (SGG) included in a more comprehensive emergency ordinance amending Law 406/2001 on the housing of former heads of state in Romania.
