Adam1, the first humanoid robot built by Romanian students, will be publicly presented for the first time at the national stage of the Infomatrix competition that starts on Friday. 155 young IT enthusiasts will take part in the competition, a communiqué issued by organizers informs.
The robot’s components were produced with a 3D printer that was also built by Romanian students. The fire-fighting robot will be another point of attraction at this year’s Infomatrix competition.
Infomatrix is a competition for high school and college students that compete in the following categories: Computer Art, Hardware Control, Programming, Short Movie and Robotics.
The goal of the competition is to encourage youngsters to use their imagination, passion and creativity to come up with technological innovations that could bring positive change in society.
Romanian IT enthusiasts have signed up with 155 projects at this year’s national stage of the competition. The best projects, selected by a special jury, will represent Romania at the international stage that will take place in Bucharest on May 14-18.
