President Klaus Iohannis has received the visit, on Friday, at the Cotroceni Palace, a delegation of the United States of America, context in which he stated that Romania offers very good opportunities for foreign investments.
According to the Presidential Administration, during the meeting several common interest topic were approached, relating to the political-military and security Strategic Partnership between Romania and the United States, the collaboration within NATO and Romania’s participation in the establishment, in Deveselu, of the anti-ballistic missile system, as well as the tense situation in Ukraine.
Particular attention, during discussions, was granted to American investments in Romania.
“Mr President Klaus Iohannis emphasized that Romania offers very good opportunities for foreign investments and that the process to eradicate corruption is an important step in attracting investors that are looking for a stable and fair business environment”, the Presidential Administration mentions.
The delegation of the US Congress is led by Mac Thornberry, Chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services.
Anti-missile shield of Deveselu and Ukraine security situation on the agenda of talks between Defence Minister and the US congressmen
Topics referring to the security situation in Ukraine, to the bilateral cooperation within the anti-missile shield of Deveselu, as well as Romania’s commitment in the Afghani theater of operations were discussed on Friday during a meeting between the Minister of National Defence, Mircea Dusa, and the delegation of the US Congress.
According to a release of the Ministry of National Defence (MApN), Minister Mircea Dusa and the US congressmen have also discussed the stage of implementing ensuring measures in the bilateral context and the NATO context, the joint exercises conducted within the ‘Atlantic Resolve’ Operation, as well as the Action Plan regarding raising the operational capacity of the Alliance.
