PNL’s Predoiu: Nominating Teodorovici shows Ponta reached improvisation stage
First deputy chair of the National Liberal Party Catalin Predoiu stated for Agerpres that the nomination of Eugen Teodorovici for the Finance Ministry shows that Victor Ponta has reached “the last stage, that of improvisation”.
“PSD [Social Democrat Party] refused Ponta and then he turned to friends. Ponta started by leading a PSD government and will soon end governing by leading a government of friends. (…) It is a nomination that shows that Ponta reached the last stage, that of improvisation”, said Predoiu, regarding the nomination of Teodorovici for the Finance Ministry.
Basescu attacks Ponta and Iohannis: “The Grivco Alliance and USL are more alive than ever before, but not step by step, but in a cluster”
Former President Traian Basescu responded on Facebook after Eugen Teodorovici was proposed as new Finance Minister, as announced on Friday by Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
The former Head of the State starts his post by mentioning that Teodorovici had voted against Dan Sova’s retaining and arrest. Basescu then points out on Klaus Iohannis’ delayed reaction on the results of the Senate ballot.
“Eugen Teodorovici, PSD Senator of Buzau County and European Funds Minister, voted against Dan Sova’s retaining and arrest. After the ballot, – very late after the ballot – even Romania’s President reacted, in a baffle gab that failed the explain the consequences of this decision. And, as everything is “step by step”, after another delay, Romania’s President wondered if there was a conflict among state powers. I think that all we have is a lack of decency”, the ex-President noted.
Traian Basescu mentioned that, under these circumstances, by proposing Teodorovici as Finances Minister, a “decisive step” was made.
“And today, the decisive step was made. V. V. Ponta and Klaus Iohannis decided to appoint Eugen Teodorovici Minister of Public Finances. Congratulations to the Romanian nation for the Revolution of November 16, 2014. The Grivco Alliance and USL are more alive than ever before, but not ‘step by step’, but in a cluster”, Traian Basescu further remarked.
