Dacia Duster Ambulance, new offer for emergency services

Dacia together with Romturingia, a company specializing in the conversion and arrangement of car bodies, announce the delivery of the first Duster vehicle for ambulance services.

The project focused on developing a vehicle for the transport of sick persons, a vehicle adapted for use in the most difficult terrain conditions.

The result of the cooperation between the team of specialists from Renault Tehnologie Roumanie (RTR) and Romturingia was a class A1 ambulance homologated in line with European norms in the domain.

The vehicle has the structure of the Duster model. The car body was heightened and lengthened by 300 millimetres, thus creating the necessary room for installing the entire range of accessories needed for the transportation of a sick person and an attendant, including the medical equipment needed to offer first aid.

The first Duster ambulance vehicles on order will be delivered to Angola, a market where the models produced by the Mioveni plant are sold under the Renault brand.

Apart from the practical attributes and the unequalled services/price ratio, the Duster ambulance models transformed by Romturingia offer the capacity to intervene in extremely difficult areas that are normally inaccessible for most classical ambulances.

The new special utility vehicle outlines once again the good partnership between Renault Romania Group and Romturingia, one of the most important companies in Romania specializing in car body services.

The Duster Pick-Up vehicle that entered OMV Petrom’s fleet last year is among the recent results of this long-term partnership.
