Finance Minister visits IMF headquarters

Public Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici will discuss with IMF Unit Chief Andrea Schaechter about ensuring financial stability, rendering public expenses efficient, system reform and transparency, a press release informs.

Teodorovici is on an official visit to the United States. The agenda of the visit includes meetings with Andrea Schaechter, head of the IMF mission to Romania, and with representatives of American investors.

At the same time, Teodorovici will take part in the Romania Investors Days event organized in New York by Franklin Templeton, the Bucharest Stock Exchange and Swiss Capital. On this occasion, he will present the measures meant to ensure economic growth in Romania, the Romanian Government’s measures on attracting foreign investments, supporting the capital market, but also the progress made in absorbing European funds and the measures on accelerating that absorption.
