European funds fraud suspected at APIA Tulcea and municipalities

The National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) on Thursday searched a total of 17 addresses in the Counties of Tulcea, Constanta and Galati, 12 of those being public institutions.

“Prosecutors with the Corruption Department of the National Anticorruption Directorate are conducting probes into a criminal case that comprises suspicions of corruption offences. On April 2, following the legal authorisations of the searches, domiciliary visits are being conducted in 17 locations in the counties of Tulcea, Constanta and Galati, 12 of which are main offices of public organisations and the remaining are main offices of commercial companies and domiciles of individuals,” DNA reports in a press release.

The prosecutors are provided specialty support from the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) and the Special Intervention Brigade of the Romanian Gendarmerie.
