La Francophonie to continue training of Romanian public officers

The Romanian Government approved on Wednesday a memorandum for the continuation of the Programme of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) for training Romanian public officers in 2015-2018, the Press Bureau of the Executive informed.

According to this source, the national training plan for 2015-2018 will focus on the contribution to the training in French of the human resources of the public administration, considering the perspective of the Romanian presidency of the European Council in 2019.

The partnership memorandum with the National Francophone Initiative will be signed in May in a joint ceremony at the La Francophonie offices in Paris, the press bureau mentioned.

“The new cycle of the OIF programme should be operational in July 2015. More than 5000 Romanian public officials specializing in the management of European files, from approximately 60 institutions of the central and local public administration, have benefited to date from the multi-annual plan of training in French,” the source reminded.
