Public Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici is heading Romania’s delegation in Washington in the period April 16-19 for talks with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB) about the Tax Code draft.
The official visit of Romania’s delegation takes place within the Spring Meeting of the World Bank and the IMF.
The delegation is made up of representatives of the Public Finance Ministry, as well as of the National Bank of Romania. The talks will also approach the measures provided in the Tax Code draft, the budget execution, namely the stage of implementing the commitments agreed with the international financial bodies, shows a Public Finance Ministry (MFP) release remitted to Agerpres on Friday.
Minister Eugen Teodorovici on April 17 and 18 will have a series of meetings with Andrea Schaechter, the head of the IMF mission to Romania, Poul M. Thomsen, Director of the IMF’s European Department, Istvan Szekely, the head of the European Commission mission for Romania, but also with other officials of the international financial organisations, including with representatives of the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
