Journalist Raluca Lunculescu , the new Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Journalist Raluca Lunculescu, specializing in foreign policy and having an experience of over 13 years in this field, has been appointed as spokesperson of the Foreign Affairs Ministry by minister Bogdan Aurescu, a release of the ministry informed on Friday.

According to this document, Lunculescu has worked as a journalist since 2014, first as foreign news editor; she then advanced to head of the Foreign News Desk, special reporter and news editor for some of Romania’s most prominent TV stations.

‘She has reported live from events on international interest, such as the ceremonies of adhesion of Romania to NATO (2004) and to the EU (2007), the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Turkey (2006), the national funerals of Polish President Lech Kaczynski (2010), the crisis in Syria (2011), the parliamentary elections in Greece (2012), the presidential elections in the USA (2012), the ‘Revolution of Dignity’ in Ukraine (2013), the presidential elections in Ukraine (2014), the terrorist attacks in Paris (2015)”, the release mentions.
