President Klaus Iohannis on Monday, after the consultations with the parliamentary parties and groups, said that there is an agreement on the legislation regarding the local elections, the parliamentary elections and the vote in the Diaspora.
“As a first conclusion, I can say there is an agreement on three big matters. By mid-May, we should have adopted in Parliament and promulgated the law on the local elections and the law on party and election campaign funding,” the head of state announced at the Cotroceni Palace.
He said that the second area in which an agreement was reached with the parliamentary parties and groups was the legislation regarding the parliamentary elections, showing that it was agreed that this draft be completed by the end of this parliamentary session.
The head of state added that in regards with the vote in the Diaspora all parties gave guarantees that there is political will and that a political solution will be adopted in due time, Agerpres informs.
