Correction to article “Romania’s textile industry reborn through… H&M”

In the April 15 issue, the article titled “Romania’s textile industry reborn through… H&M” mentioned that Artifex Focsani is one of the textile retailer’s main partners. The article pointed out that Artifex is a member of the Romanian-Swedish Sorste Group, as well as the fact that Artifex is allegedly linked to Sorina Placinta, former member of the Liberal Democrat Party.

In an e-mail sent to the editorial office, Mr. Bernard Cheere, Artifex CEO, points out that Artifex has nothing to do with the Sorste Group or Sorina Placinta. “The capital of ARTIFEX is 100% Swiss and more specifically by AKRIS a company specialized on the couture segment of the luxurious brands,” Bernard Cheere points out.

We will revisit the topic.
