President’s spokesperson resigns

Tatiana Niculescu Bran, the spokesperson of President Klaus Iohannis, announced on Tuesday that she resigned from office, pointing out that the decision was based on the fact that from December 2014 to April 2015 her collaboration with the press was not the one she would have liked to have.

“Today, April 21, I have resigned from the office of spokesperson, in agreement with the Romanian President. My decision was motivated by the fact that from December 2014 to April 2015 my collaboration with the press was not the one I would have liked to have,” Tatiana Niculescu Bran stated, a Presidential Administration communiqué informs.

She pointed out that she will continue to support the country project of President Klaus Iohannis, irrespective of her employment ties with the Presidential Administration.

A former journalist and then writer, Tatiana Niculescu Bran was appointed presidential advisor on 22 December 2014, after Klaus Iohannis announced on December 8, while elected president, that she will be his spokesperson after he is sworn in.
