Daniela Barsan, appointed state advisor and head of President’s Press Bureau

President Klaus Iohannis has appointed Daniela Barsan as state advisor within the Public Relations Department and head of the Presidential Administration’s Press Bureau, following the resignation of presidential spokesperson Tatiana Niculescu Bran. According to a presidential communiqué, Daniela Barsan will coordinate the activity of the Presidential Administration’s Press Bureau.

Daniela Barsan is the former head of PNL’s Press Bureau – Political Analysis and Communication Department.

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Thursday the decree releasing Tatiana Niculescu Bran from the office of presidential spokesperson and public relations advisor, the Presidential Administration informed.

Tatiana Niculescu Bran had announced on Tuesday that she was resigning from the office of presidential spokesperson. Niculescu Bran said that she will further support Klaus Iohannis’s country project regardless of her professional relationship with the Presidential Administration. Tatiana Niculescu Bran was appointed in office on December 22, 2014, on Klaus Iohannis’s first day as President.
