Writers and publishers turn into a „live publishing house”
In order to bring the audience a bit of the life and living of those who, together, turn thoughts into reality by books, the Metropolitan Library of Bucharest decided to organize a “Live Library” where the “live books” are professionals of the book industry. Therefore, on International Book Day, interested persons may read prose writers, poets, editors, literary critics, script writers, book PR professionals, booksellers and illustrators. The method is a technique of non-formal education, yet, instead of books, the audience borrows people who tell their story. Therefore, the “Live Books”, in this case writers, publishers, illustrators, literary critics, booksellers, are “borrowed” for 30 minutes by attendants to the event.
The “live books” awaiting their readers at the “Live Library” of BMB are script writer Corina Sabau, bookseller Bogdan Baciu, illustrator Cristiana Radu, literary critic Luminita Corneanu, publisher Silvia Colfescu, cultural manager Oana Boca Stanescu, illustrator Irina Dobrescu, poet Svetlana Carstean and prose writer Veronica D. Niculescu.
The event will take place at the central headquarters of BMB on Tache Ionescu Street, from 5 to 8.
