President Iohannis expresses solidarity with persons affected by Nepal earthquake

President Klaus Iohannis expresses sympathy and solidarity towards the persons affected by the earthquake in Nepal, a message by the Presidential Administration announces on Sunday.

“I express my sympathy and solidarity towards the persons affected by the Nepal earthquake. In these moments of deep sadness, I send my sincere commiseration with the mourning families. Romania joins the countries of the world which have expressed their solidarity with the Nepal authorities and the other affected countries,” says president Iohannis in his message.

 

No casualties so far among the Romanian citizens in Nepal tragedy

 

Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) says in regard with the situation of the Romanians in Nepal, following the earthquakes there, that 19 persons were identified so far, who were contacted and are out of danger.

‘Until now, the Romanian diplomatic mission in Nepal received no confirmation referring to any Romanian citizen among the victims,’ says the MAE release sent Agerpres on Sunday.
