President Klaus Iohannis is starting on Monday a two-day official visit to Rome, the Presidential Administration informed on Sunday. The President will hold talks with his Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella, on Monday, at the Quirinale Palace in Rome and will meet the Italian Senate’s President, Pietro Grasso, at the Giustiniani Palace. In the evening, he will meet representatives of the Romanian community in Italy, at the Palazzo della Cancelleria. On Tuesday, the Romanian head of state will have talks with the President of the Council of Ministers, Matteo Renzi at the Chigi Palace and will meet with Romanian students in Italy, at the Accademia di Romania. Romania and Italy have signed on Saturday at the ECOFIN reunion in Riga the Convention on the avoidance of double taxation regarding the income revenues and on prevention of tax evasion, whose provisions will bring effects as of January 2016.
