President Klaus Iohannis says that Romania needs “a real social dialogue”, which is why, at the meeting with the leaders of the trade unions taking place at the Presidential Palace, he intends to debate problems “that concern the Romanian society.”
“We need a real social dialogue in Romania. As a real mediator between the state and the society, I want to ensure the necessary framework in which the voices of as many actors and state institutions as possible should be heard. After the consultations with the political parties, today I will meet with the leaders of the trade unions to debate problems that concerns the Romanian society,” Iohannis wrote on Thursday on his Facebook page, prior to the meeting with the trade unions’ leaders at the Cotroceni Palace.
The head of state invited Dumitru Costin to discussions – the president of the National Trade Unions Block, Ion Popescu – National Trade Unions Confederation MERIDIAN, Leonard Barascu – president of the National Confederation of the Free Trade Unions in Romania – Fratia, Bogdan Hossu – the president of the National Confederation of Trade Unions Cartel Afla and Iacob Baciu – president of the Confederation of the Democratic Trade Unions in Romania.
