President Klaus Iohannis continues to be the personality Romanians trust the most, according to the latest opinion poll published by Avangarde. Surprisingly enough, Ion Iliescu is among the top five most trusted personalities. As for the voting intention for political parties, the poll shoes a difference of three per cent between the National Liberal Party (PNL) and the Social Democratic Party (PSD).
Done from 21 to 29 April, 2015, on a sample group of 950 respondents, the opinion poll has a margin of error of 3.18 %.
The first in the trust ranking of personalities is President Klaus Iohannis, with a huge percentage of 76%. He is followed by Kind Mihai, on 61% and by the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), Laura Codruta Kovesi, on 50%.
The DNA chief is followed at just 1% difference by Central Bank Governor Mugur Isarescu. Forty-three per cent of Romanians trust Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu and the same trust PM Victor Ponta. The surprise comes from the significant percentage given to personalities such as the founding president of the Conservative Party (PC) or ex-Presidential Iliescu.

Six months after the presidential election, the difference between PNL and PSD-UNPR-PC has reduced to just 3%. As for the voting intention in the parliamentary election, PNL would obtain 43% of the vote, PSD-UNPR-PC 40%. PLR would decisively tip the scales by 5% and the same would UDMR, with 4$. The rest of the parties would not exceed the electoral threshold.
