President Iohannis delays appointment of DIICOT chief prosecutor

President Klaus Iohannis asked the Supreme Council of Magistracy (CSM) the transcript of the interview of Daniel-Constantin Horodniceanu, the nominee for chief prosecutor of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT).

The Presidential Administration mentioned in a release on Monday that the President has also requested, “in order to exert his prerogative of appointing” the head of the DIICOT, all the documents concerning the approval of Horodniceanu’s nomination
