Young entrepreneurs are invited to register, over May 11-29, 2015, to the business ideas competition titled ‘Entrepreneur’, with the best 40 ideas to win non-reimbursable funds worth 10,000 euros each, to be developed into businesses.
The competition is launched by the Polytechnic University in Bucharest and OTP Consulting, as part of the multi-regional project ‘Entrepreneur – successful business ideas and the development of enterprises in the Bucharest-Ilfov and South-West Oltenia regions.’
The ‘Entrepreneur – successful business ideas and the development of enterprises in the Bucharest-Ilfov and South-West Oltenia regions’ project addresses a target group of 400 people, 30 per cent of whom have to be women, with their residence in the Bucharest-Ifov and South-West Oltenia regions, to be at least 18 years old, who want to initiate an independent activity. Among these, at least 50 per cent will have to be people aged between 18 and 25 years old who are registered with a higher education unit, the OTP Consulting release sent to Agerpres on Monday specified.
The competition addresses people over-18 with their residence in the Ilfov County, Valcea, Olt, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti or Bucharest. The business ideas competition is open to the wide public and not only to persons in the target group participating in the entrepreneurial training programme within the project.
Following the competition, 40 business ideas will be selected in order to be implemented through the setting up of new companies (start-up). Each of these companies will benefit from non-reimbursable funds worth 10,000 euros. Another benefit will be represented by specialized assistance services of business consultancy via the four support centres for the best business idea.
The newly-incorporated companies will have to carry out their activity in the fields identified by the National Competitiveness Strategy 2014-2020. The companies will have at least two employees. Each of the counties mentioned as well as the Bucharest municipality will have to have minimum two such companies. Moreover, minimum 30 per cent of the companies to be set up, will be owned and managed by women entrepreneurs and at least half of them by entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 25 years old.
The business plans will have to be implemented by November 1, 2015, including through the setting up of companies with the help and assistance from the scheme manager.
Once with the launch of the business ideas competition, the promotional campaign of the multi-regional ‘Entrepreneur’ competition kicked off, on May 11, in Bucharest, heading first for Oltenia. The ‘Entrepreneur’ caravan will make 675 kilometres in five days, following to stop in the five most important cities in the South-West Oltenia region.
