The 2015 Taekwondo Hanmadang Festival in Bucharest

On the occasion of the 25th Anniversary this year of the establishment of the Korea-Romania diplomatic relations, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bucharest and the Romanian Taekwondo WTF Federation will host the “2015 Taekwondo Hanmadang (Festival) in Bucharest.”  The event will be held at the National Sports Complex, “Sala Polivalenta” in Bucharest, on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 4:00 p.m.,  Korean Embassy in Bucharest informs in a press release.

A number of Korea-Romania Friendship Associations including “Taekwondo Lifestyle”,  “Saranghangug”, “Nankibun”, and “RKIA (Romanian-Korean Intercultural Association)” will also participate in the Taekwondo Hanmadang (Festival) to share their wonderful experiences on Korea.

Taekwondo Performance will feature a wide range of techniques of traditional Korean martial arts (Taekwondo) that will be demonstrated not only by members of Taekwondo lovers’ clubs, but also by the National Taekwondo Team of Romania. The Taekwondo Demo will be followed by a drink & snack Rendezvous starting at 5:30 p.m. Members of Korea-Romania Friendship Associations will also exhibit colorful Korean artifacts throughout the event.

Young children and school kids will be particularly welcome to the event as it will provide them with a window to Korean culture, cuisine, and of course, Taekwondo.

The first 100 guests will be given a Taekwondo emblem badge.
