Outdoor event PIATA INDONEZIA to mark 65 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Romania

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bucharest and the Indonesian Community in Romania proudly present an outdoor event, ‘PIATA INDONEZIA’, celebrating 65 years from the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and Romania and also 70 years of independence of the Republic of Indonesia.

The event aims to promote Indonesian culture and diversity in its forms: traditional clothing, traditional dances, songs, instruments, martial arts, handicraft bazaar, and the most exotic and delicious Indonesian culinary traditional icons.

In a mixture of colors, sounds and tastes, this show will bring together the beauty of Indonesian people, the sun of this amazing country and the smell of these exotic islands so known as paradise on Earth.

Indonesia is fascinating not only through its culture and people, but also through its traditions that the Embassy and the Community are willing to promote in this unique performance, which will take place in the premises of the embassy, situated in No. 10, Gina Patrichi Street (former Orlando). The personal involvement of H. E. Ambassador Diar Nurbintoro and the commitment of the Indonesian Community are bringing the audience in a fantastic world, so less known to European people, who are invited to participate on Saturday, 16 May 2015, starting 10:00 until 15:00 to this magic performance.

Hoping that everyone who will enjoy watching this fabulous spectacle will come to know better the Indonesian soul and heart, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and the Indonesian Community in Romania, who have been closely collaborating for this show, are welcoming each and every person to enjoy and learn more about fascinating Indonesia, an amazing part of Asia, if not the very core of it!
