‘Romanian Space Week’ kicks off in Bucharest

Researchers, engineers, technical experts, decision makers, providers and users of space technology and applications will participate over May 27 – 29, at the Conference Center of the ‘Elie Carafoli’ National Institute for Aerospace Research and Development in the annual conference ‘Romanian Space Week’, organized by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.

According to a ROSA release, the conference complements efforts to promote the development of space activities in Romania and will feature a series of events intended to bring together the main actors in the space sector.

The core event of the week will be the public presentation of the latest achievements of the projects selected for funding following the C1-2012 and C2-2013 contests of the National Programme for Space Technology and Advanced Research – STAR, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Romania’s research – development – innovation entities for their successful participation in ESA programs.

The participants will also be able to deliver technical presentations and take part in bilateral meetings to exchange ideas and opinions on future projects and cooperation activities.
