The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) firmly condemns the terrorist attack targeting a mosque in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, killing four people and injuring several others, shows a release remitted to Agerpres on Saturday.
“The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry sends condolences to the mourning families and fast recovery to the injured persons. The Foreign Affairs Ministry voices its solidarity with the Saudi people and reiterates Romania’s support for the efforts made by the authorities of Riyadh in the fight against transnational terrorism,” the MAE release points out.
Four people died after a car exploded in front of a Shia mosque in Dammam, in the east of Saudi Arabia, Reuters and AFP informed on Friday.
A witness said he was near the mosque together with his family when a blast suddenly occurred during the Friday service.
The attack came one week after another bloody attack against the Shiite minority of Saudi Arabia, claimed by the Islamic State.
