These days, until June 7, Bucharest pedestrians may enjoy the seventh edition of the International Street Theatre Festival – B-FIT in the Street. Therefore, for four days, the theatre leaves the stage and overtakes the streets of the Capital. This year, over 150 artists from France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Slovakia and Great Britain will perform 24 open-air performances for the Bucharest audience, all of them free, thus recovering the public space to the inhabitants of the city, according to ARCUB – the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Bucharest.
Therefore, George Enescu Square, University Square, Rome Square, St. Anton Square and the streets of the Historical Centre will be animated by amusing moments of improvisation, fascinating aerial acrobatic performances, stilts performances, dance and street music.
The stars of the festival are, undoubtedly, the impressive productions Waterlitz, Felliniana, Malaya and Meraviglia – performances due to turn the George Enescu Square and the University Square into splendid landscapes, flooded by colours, lights and innovative artistic visions. Also, the mobile performances that require actors to walk on the streets and interact with crowds are must-see and the streets of the Historical Centre will be filled with colourful smiles when the public will meet the amazing Flamingo creatures, the funny Crazy Clowns, the members of the Mirror Family and the beautiful dancers of the Santa Cruz Carnival band.
