Dacia’s CEO Maure: Global exports advanced 10pct despite falling sales in France and Germany

Dacia’s global exports advanced nearly 10 per cent in the first five months of 2015, despite falling sales figures in France and Germany, CEO of Dacia automobile maker Nicolas Maure said Thursday.
He explained that the decreases in the two countries were offset by significant rises in other European markets.
‘The Mioveni-based factory is expected to reach record output figures this year, so its business is intense. Country by country, a drop in the export volume is visible in Germany and France, but the decreases are to a great extent offset by significant rises in other countries, such as Spain, Italy and the UK. For instance, there was a 36-per cent surge in our exports to the Italian market in the first five months of the year from 2014, and there was a 27-per cent rise in our share in the Spanish market. All this gives an increase of 10 per cent in Dacia exports so far this year,’ Maure told the 10th anniversary of Dacia’s Alliance International Logistic Network at Mioveni.
