Dan Sova, at IPJ Ilfov: ‘I am not supposed to contact Mr. Ponta’

PSD Senator Dan Sova reported to the Ilfov Police (IJP) on Monday to agree with the police officers on the schedule he would need to comply with under his probation order. The senator said he didn’t mind coming to the police station twice a week.

Dan Sova said, after his visit to the Police, that he would report every Monday between 15:30 and 16:00 and every Friday between 9:30 and 10:00.

‘I don’t mind at all (that he must report to the Police twice a week – editor’s note). This is what the prosecutors decided. (…) It is the penal procedure and we respect it’, Sova said.

The senator added that approximately three months before he had changed his residence to Ilfov County from Olt County.

‘I am looking forward to the prosecutor sending my case into Court. In Court we will also make a defence. For now, the prosecutor is making accusations (…). I am not supposed to contact Mr. Ponta. It is a ban enforced by the prosecutor’, Dan Sova also said, referring to the anti-corruption prosecutors’ investigation.
