Alina Bica: ‘I am sorry that I have my husband’s name. He wouldn’t have had these problems’

Alina Bica appeared before the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) again. When she left, the former DIICOT head refused to say anything on her case, but accepted to talk about her husband’s criminal problems.

Bica spoke about her husband’s problems for the first time. ‘I am sorry that I have his name. If he had not been my husband, he wouldn’t have had this. He is a good man and he doesn’t deserve this. If you imagine a person they checked for five years and found two unconnected invoices. Who retained this offence doesn’t understand what tax evasion is. Tax evasion entails a direct intention. There are two invoices of 16,000 euro, one of them was never settled. What evasion? As I was saying, if I had not had his name, this wouldn’t have happened to him’, Alina Bica said according to Romania TV.

Mircea Octavian Bica, the husband of ex-DIICOT chief Alina Bica, was placed on probation in a tax evasion case dealt with in Brasov.
