Karcher to build new plant in Romania

This year Karcher starts work on a plant in Curtea de Arges, thus expanding its production capacity in Europe. The manufacturer of cleaning equipment will produce, on 22,000 square meters, vacuum cleaners for household and professional use. The production plant is scheduled to open in mid-2016.

The new Karcher plant in Curtea de Arges, 140 kilometres north-west of Bucharest, will have over 250 employees, mainly engaged in production. Karcher has been present in Romania since 2006 through its own CER Cleaning Equipment S.R.L. subsidiary. In that same year, the company ran, as part of a cultural sponsorship project, the cleaning of the famous Bridge of Lies monument in Sibiu, the European Capital of Culture in 2007.
