Dozens of people questioned in corruption case at Bihor Pensions House

The Police searched 36 addresses on Wednesday, to the Bihor Pensions House, the head offices of several companies and homes of suspects of giving and taking bribe, taking in for questioning 50 persons.

According to a release of Bihor County Police, the Economic Crime Department of the institution, coordinated by the prosecutors with the Prosecutor’s Office by the Bihor Tribunal, conducted 36 searches to the headquarters of two public institutions, companies and homes of 16 persons in Oradea and the county, on Wednesday.

One of the institutions searched was the Bihor Pensions House, say judicial sources quoted by Hotnews.

The investigators have leads that the doctors and nurses who approve the application files for disabled persons took bribe from hundreds of people only in the last two weeks. The activity of the commission was paralysed during the searching of the facilities, according to Pro TV.

120 policemen from various structures participated in the operation. Targeted were suspects of corruption – giving and taking bribe.

After the searches, the suspects were taken in for questioning to the Bihor County Police and Bihor Court Prosecutor’s Office.

A total of 50 people suspected of paying bribe were also taken in.
