“Ramona” short-reel at Curtas do Vila do Conde Film Festival

Andrei Cretulescu’s “Ramona” is the only Romanian short-reel selected for the official competition at the 23rd edition of Portugal’s Curtas do Vila do Conde International Film Festival that will take place on July 4-12.

“Ramona” had its global screening at the “Semaine de la Critique” section of the Cannes International Film Festival, where it won the “Canal+” award. Its national screening took place at the Transylvania International Film Festival where it won the award for the best Romanian short-reel (ex-aequo).

“Ramona” is a 100 per cent independent short-reel. Former film critic Andrei Cretulescu produced the first season of the “In Deriva” series for HBO Romania and nine original documentaries. “Ramona” is his third short-reel. He is currently working on the post-production of “Seven months later,” the first short-reel financed by the CNC, and on the pre-production of “Charlton Heston,” his first feature film.
