The Superior Magistracy Council’s (CSM) prosecutor’s section has decided on Monday to suspend Iasi Court prosecutor Emilian Eva as a result of the fact that he was placed under preventive arrest, CSM informs. 
The High Court of Justice decided last Friday to place prosecutor Emilian Eva under 30-day preventive arrest. The prosecutor is investigated by the DNA for passive bribery, money laundering, engaging in financial operations incompatible with his office, false statements.
The decision is not final.
Emilian Eva became known after he handled the case concerning the privatization of the ICA Institute, a case in which Dan Voiculescu was sentenced to 10 years in jail.
