- OMV Petrom’s first 10 mobile gas stations will open on Romania’s A1 and A2 highways * The stations will operate under the Petrom brand
OMV Petrom, the largest oil and natural gas producer in South East Europe, has finalized the concept of mobile gas stations. The concept will be applied for the first time for OMV Petrom’s 10 gas stations that will open on the A1 and A2 highways, after the group won the tender organized by the Romanian National Roads and Highway Company (CNADNR).
“By expanding the distribution network to key points on the highway we are closer to clients, offering them accessibility and comfort. We are proud that the first gas station for those who enter Romania on the Nadlac-Arad Highway will be a Petrom gas station. The new mobile stations answer the varied needs of any driver, offering both fuel as well as a wide range of non-fuel products,” OMV Petrom Retail Manager Adrian Nicolaescu stated.
The new mobile gas stations are modular. They will be transported to their locations without requiring any other construction works. The 10 gas stations are expected to become operational in Q4 this year.
A mobile gas station consists of a fuelling area and a store area. Each station will have 3 pumps, one of them a rapid pump, for the fuelling of lorries.
Clients will be able to choose from the 4 types of fuel offered by the Petrom network: standard gasoline, Extra99 gasoline, standard diesel oil and Extra diesel oil.
One gas station can fuel approximately 1,500 vehicles per day. The 10 stations will be set up in 5 locations on the A1 and A2 highways.
