Tandarica Animation Theatre is presently on a tour in China where, for three weeks, they will travel 15,907 kilometres overall and will perform, in four big cities, ten performances of the show “Town Musicians of Bremen”, directed by Attila Vizauer.
The tour will be held during July 23 – August 11, 2015, with the support of ICR Beijing, and is the result of a long-term partnership between Tandarica Theatre and the National Children’s Theatre in China. The show “Town Musicians of Bremen” will be performed three times in Beijing, on the stage of China’s National Children’s Theatre, two times at the Children’s Art Theatre in Tianjin, two times at the Children’s Art Theatre in Jinan and three times at the Centre for Children and Women in Chengdu.
Moreover, during the tour, the headquarters of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berling will host the opening of the exhibition “Tandarica’s Travel| and a puppet handling workshops with the characters of “Town Musicians of Bremen”. The exhibition will include 50 pieces, representing various styles and methods of artistic expression experienced during the 70 years of history of the Tandarica Theatre. This collaboration, meant to build a bridge between two continents, is a continuation of the protocol signed three years ago by the Tandarica Animation Theatre, Guangzhou Performance/Film Co Ltd and Beilei Theatre in Guangzhou, China.
